to the tips of the ears at the base.
A small hollow Corn Dolly, similar to the Yorkshire drop corn dolly but plaited with 6 working straws.

Countryman's Favours, these braided loops were intended to be worn as buttonholes. Romantic
tradition states that they were usually made by country lads for their girlfriends but
it is also held that the ones without ears were for wearing by men. (My father used to
decorate his working horses harness with them).
