Essential oils are the source of fragrance and add their own special properties as they are added after the soap has "cooked".
No claims are made with regard to the therapeutic properties of any of the toiletries which contain Essential Oils (although some people like to think of a soap with essential oils as an "Aromatherapy Soap") but the properties and uses of the oils can be viewed at Aromaweb
Enriching oils and other natural ingredients are also added in the later stages to produce modern
versions of traditional handmade soap.

Please note that the weights given afor all the soaps are the minimum at the time of wrapping,
atmospheric conditions may cause variation.
Beer Soaps
Briallen handmade Beer Soaps are made with beers carefully selected from local breweries in North Wales
and include gently refined organic Shea Butter from a Fair Trade project in Ghana. The lather from these
handmade beer soaps is absolutely fantastic!
In the tradition of all good bars there will be Guest Beers in addition to the regular ones.
MYSTERIOUS MYRTLE
A Guest Beer for Halloween!Once or twice a year Purple Moose brew a stout flavoured with Bog Myrtle.

Castille Soaps
Originating during the Middle Ages in the area of Spain known to the rest of Europe as Castille
from where it was exported. Made solely from olive oil and lye (known as barilla, which
was water strained through the ashes of a native saltwort plant) it was certainly different from the
animal fat soap of northern Europe.
In the major households it would be rebatched with perfumed oils and herbs.
Briallen Castille Soaps have added Coconut Oil to enhance the lathering qualities.

Scented Soaps
There have been huge concerns about the devastating effects palm plantations are having on ancient forests
and endangered species, Malaysia in particular (stimulating the formation of Roundtable for Sustainable
Palm Oil in 2004). The organic palm oil in these soaps is sourced from sustainable, eco-friendly crop plantations
in Columbia who are signed up to RSPO.
The fragrances are created by blending carefully selected essential oils.
